About The Artist
A picture is a poem without words - Horace
Art is visual poetry. The work I create is an expression of what I see and feel. Inspirations dictate what medium is picked to execute the idea. It is an intuitive process.

A lot of energy is poured into each original artwork. The works are a flowing blend of different art forms and in a final product clothing design, costume design, art direction and photography come into play to create a unique work of art.

Colour is important, and some works allow for a secret flamboyant streak. I am a collector of all forms of lace and it brings me great joy to soften my work with the beauty and delicateness of lace.

I am drawn to the jester/clown concept and often build it into an artwork together with symbols like birds, trinkets or insects.

Coming from a Scientific background, I analyze each idea and carefully plan every detail. Taking reference photos for work is a passion, as is art directing models for a professional photographer. Although just an amateur photographer, photography is a passion and my camera is always close by.

From a young age, the human face has been a fascination to me. I started drawing portraits at the age of 14, and it was decades later that I started working on hands and feet and full figures.

Painting flowers is a passion, but given a choice, I enjoy combining a portrait and flowers.

My work often tells a story or conveys an emotion. In the end it is up to the viewer to choose what they see in a work.

I have a BSc.-degree, Teacher’s Diploma, Diploma in Dress-making Design, several qualifications in alternative therapy and is a qualified Art Councillor.
